In this 1-hour workshop, teachers will learn about the extensive, free resources at the NASA Educator Resource Centers (NASA ERC's) located in Sioux Falls at the Kirby Science Center and in Rapid City at the Center for the Advancement of Mathematics & Science Education at Black Hills State University.  The following are two recent messages sent by each of the NASA ERC's to educators:

Dear Educator,

Did you know that you can get a wide variety of excellent K-12 science education materials for free from our NASA Educator Resource Center? The only one of its kind in the region, this multimedia library includes:

Although these materials relate primarily to science, technology and math, they can be valuable supplements for all subjects.

Access to the NASA Educator Resource Center (ERC) is available by appointment. Please contact me if you are interested in visiting the ERC or if you would like to discuss the types of materials that are available to enhance your curriculum.

Sincerely,

Brian Dzwonek

Dear Educator,

Hello from the NASA Educational Resource Center (ERC) at Black Hills State University.

We at the Center for the Advancement of Mathematics and Science Education invite you to visit the NASA ERC located on the second floor of Central Elementary School in Spearfish. The enclosed brochure, "NASA Educator Resource Materials" describes materials available at the Center.

NASA materials are free. Your school provides the blank compact disc or videocassette and we copy the NASA material for you free of charge. The NASA CORE educational materials catalog identifies topic, title, instructional grade level, type of media, and gives a brief description of the NASA materials. View the catalog on the internet at http://core.nasa.gov. Printed catalogs may be ordered by email: nasaco@leeca.esu.k12.oh.us. Staff at the Center are happy to advise you on use of these materials.

Visit the BHSU CAMSE website to find NASA materials available at Black Hills State's Educational Resource Center: http://camse.spearfish.k12.sd.us:591/md/. Contact the Materials Coordinator to have a material copied for your classroom.

We are sending you a few sample materials available from the Center:
- EarthKAM poster & EarthKAM CD (Poster & CD shipped separately)
- Lithographs & an Educational Brief - Space Shuttle Glider
