Brief Report on the GCIP/GAPP 2002 Mississippi River and Hydrology Conference, New Orleans, LA, 13-17 May 2002
by Dr. Bill Capehart

Between 13-17 May 2002 I attended the 2002 Mississippi River and Hydrology Conference which also served as the principal investigator meetings for the GEWEX Continental International Program (GCIP) and the GEWEX Americas Prediction Project (GAPP). I presented a paper/poster with my Co-Is (Capehart and Schlosser, 2002) and participated in discussions regarding the program’s direction and researchers who have similar interested in wetland hydrology, macro-scale climatological water budgets and the representation of land surface processes in complex terrain.
